WHO IS A CHRISTIAN? PART 5
Romans 12:3 – For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
1 John 5:4 – for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
A Christian has a world overcoming faith. There two types of faith. The human faith and the divine faith which is the God kind of faith. The human faith comes with our humanity and is based on our five senses and we grow the human faith as we develop in our awareness and knowledge of our environment and world.
The divine faith otherwise known as the God kind of faith. This kind of faith came with our divine nature in Christ. At salvation we received a divine nature. Every child of God has the same measure of faith. We need faith to be able to operate in the realm of the spirit. As we need our human to operate properly and comfortably in the natural world, so also we need faith to operate in the spiritual realm? It is through this faith that we move mountain and solve problems that are humanly impossible. It is through this faith that we receive the promises of God for our lives. It is through this faith that we become masters over the world system and live as kings on earth. A Christian has the ruling and winning faith in all spheres of life.
We need to however grow this faith to increase its intensity and impact. We grow our faith through consistently feeding on God’s word. We improve our faith result through use and application. So while you have the God kind of faith, it is your responsibility to grow and use your faith to maximise your potential as a Christian.
