John 1:12 – But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God,  even to them that believe on His name:

Romans 8:14-17 – ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption  by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that  we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs with  Christ…’

A Christian is a child of God and heir to all that God is and has. He is a joint heir  with Christ. A Christian has God’s DNA. A Christian bears the name of God.  He has a living root in God. While this may sound outrageous, it is true. You are  God’s inheritance and God has also become your inheritance because He has  given Himself to you.

The Bible says, ‘… all things are yours.’ A person’s inheritance is limited to his/her  father’s possession. God is your Father and He is the Possessor of all of the  heavens and all of the earth. So, my question is, if God, your Father, owns all of  heaven and all of the earth and all that is in them, what then is your inheritance? I  will tell you what it is – all of heavens and all of the earth and all that is within  them are your inheritance. Psalm 24:1.

A Christian is called out by God and is a divine royalty – God called you out to be  a divine and royal diplomat. In the Bible times, the called out ones were called  ‘Ekklesia’ in Greek. During the Roman Empire, when the Romans conquered  and obtained a new country, the next step they took was occupation. This was  done in order to expand Roman influence and Romanise the territory they had  conquered. They did this by calling out some well trained Roman citizens to  make them governors and give them military backing and then send them into  the new country to introduce and establish Roman culture. While the country  may be thousands of miles away from Rome, after educating and training the  people in the culture of Rome, after a period of time, its subject country would  become a replica of Rome in her culture and systems. The previous culture and  system of thinking of the country would be overthrown. Their dressing, feeding  and all their operations would be transformed to Roman system. They would  become Roman subjects in thought and deed.  In like manner, Jesus conquered the devil and saved the world from the  dominion of the devil. Now, we Christians are the citizens of the kingdom of  God. That is why a Christian is a transformer; we are on a transformation  mission. The Christians are chosen by God to introduce and establish the  culture of heaven on earth and overthrow the systems of the devil. We are to  overthrow death with life, poverty with prosperity, sickness with health, hell with  heaven, and destruction with creativity.

We are to occupy until the return of Christ, the second time. The word ‘Church’  is the same as ‘the called out ones’ and is also ‘ekklesia’ in Greek. Jesus took that  secular word to drive home a spiritual truth to the people of His days. ‘Ekklesia’  is not a Hebrew word or concept, it is a Roman word and concept and the people  in the days of Jesus clearly understood it because they were under Roman  occupation at the time.  Friend, we are agents of divine transformation and we have heaven’s backing. 1  Peter 2: 9-10 – ‘But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy  nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who  called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; who once were not a people  but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have  obtained mercy.’
