What do you evoke?

January 9

Matthew 16: 13-16

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

It is said that what you look longest becomes strongest in your life. You evoke what you focus on.  In John 5 :19 Jesus said ,”I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.’ Jesus is saying that God the father is his focus and as result he evokes the will and purpose of the father. No wonder all Peter and the people around Him could see was God. While most of the people around him were not correct, but they were close and clear about the fact that Jesus evokes God. You determine what you evoke by what or who you choose to focus on. Focus on Jesus Christ (the anointed) and you will evoke the anointing. Focus on what or who you want to evoke. The choice is yours.
