Hello Champion,

2 Chronicles 26:5And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law. (New King James)

Proverbs 29:18 -Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (King James Version)

Vision, what is it? One of the Hebrew words for vision is CHAZON meaning mental sight, dream, revelation or oracle. This could come in form of divine utterance, a dream, writing, or a mental picture when one is awake. The word HORAMA in Greek also carries the same meaning. A vision should paint a clear picture of the future, it should be inclusive and not exclusive and it should be ambitious.

Vision simply is the picture of the preferred future that God has planned for you. You are not a biological accident, you are not a sexual error, and you are a creature of destiny.  God made you for a reason. Ambition is different from vision. Ambition is your plan for your future. But vision in this context is the future that God has planned for you. In Jeremiah29:11, God said ‘I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the LORD; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope’. I advise you to submit your ambition to God and he will give a vision that will exceed you wildest dream.

This period, we will be dealing with vision within the context of divine guidance for authentic living. The emphasis will be on getting to understand the future that God has prepared for us as a person, family, and in particular as a ministry and walking in it to achieve and make maximum impact in our community. A life without vision, I mean divine guidance is futile and meaningless. A truly meaningful life is a life that is lived in accordance with God’s master plan and blueprint. Friends, the journey of faith begins when the will of God is known. If the plan you are pursuing is not of God then life is meaningless and eternity holds no reward for you. So that we will not be a victim of vain pursuits this I will clarify our God given vision and set methods of how we will pursue and accomplish our divine assignment. Then we can expect and experience undeniable success and victory in this life and look forward to eternal life for greater rewards.

I will start by using a practical example of the ministry I belong to and I oversee,  what is our vision? , what mandate has God given us? , why do we exist? , what purpose are we to serve ?  and what needs are we created to meet? The vision that God gave us as a ministry is to Reveal Jesus Christ as anointed one and His anointing as the burden remover and the yoke destroyer. The accomplishment of this will culminate in a life of total prosperity to the people we are sent. Our Scriptural emphasis is Matthew 16:16-18“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father, which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

The future of the ministry is one that has every member and individual possessing a divine insight and belief that he or she is the very arm of God to this generation to rid it of every yoke and burden of the wicked one. We are a community of people with a mission to set the pace by first becoming champions and then making others champions in their various field through the revelation of Christ in us and through us.

After we have this revelation and engage it first in our lives we become revealers of Christ to our community and our world. In any community we are located, be it business, home, school or sports we have been sent as ambassadors of Christ change our world.

So our vision is clear and concise.  To make Jesus Christ a real and relevant burden bearer and saviour to all we meet.
