Sacrifice and Discipline

1 Corinthians 9:27 – But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

A wise man said, you have to give something,  up to go up in life. Every significant success is a result of sacrifice and discipline. The price you are willing to pay is the evidence of the value you place on the commodity you want to acquire.  For your vision to succeed, you must be willing to deny yourself of certain pleasures and make certain adjustments. You will have to go through certain temporary discomfort to claim your place in the hall of fame of great visionaries. So my question to you is, how much sacrifice are you willing to make and how much discipline are you willing to undergo to achieve your vision?

Philippians 3:12-14

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

You need to be consistently persistence because God’s vision for your life is for a lifetime. While life is in phases, God’s vision for your life is always the same. If you quit pursing God’s vision for your life, you destroy the bridge to your destiny. There would be  times you will feel like quitting and quitting will appear to be the easiest way out but if you quit,  you will find out down the road that it only prolongs struggles and pain. Always remember, the people that win in life are never quitters and the quitters are never winners. God cannot abandon you on your way to the fulfilment of your vision. So keep on keeping on.
