Victorious Living in your Finances

Mark 11:12-14, 20

12The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it. 20In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.

The cursing and drying up of the unfruitful fig tree is one of the most thought provoking events in scriptures. The question is why do you curse a tree that isn’t fruiting out of its season? Many are shocked just reading because they feel it’s unfair to expect from the tree what it cannot not presently give after all, the weather and other things were working against it.  Going deeper however leads to a discovery of the message in the act. He wants to show us that our prosperity as children of God shouldn’t be tied to a particular age, time or season of any kind. We are to enjoy perpetual bloom and prosperity every day, everywhere and at all times.

Many blame the reason they aren’t prospering on the inflation rate, declining economy, educational background, high cost of living, mortgage commitment and more. Jesus tolerated no excuse for lack and dealt with the issue of unfruitfulness from its root. You need to disconnect from whatever will not produce in your life. We should not tolerate any reason to be in financial distress because it is whatever we permit that is permitted to stand but when we disallow unfruitfulness, it gives way. Our attitude should one of zero tolerance for lack. God wants us to have sustainable, continuous and permanent provision.

It is time to speak the word of the Lord to your situation. Be confident and get ready to take a leap of faith into the life God designed for you. We are not victims who accept anything life throw in our direction; rather we are covenant minded and know what the will of the father is for us.

The word of the Lord declares as long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease; Friend, you need to have a mind of an all year round harvest. You are exceptional and live a supernatural life in Christ Jesus. Let this mind be in you which is the mind of God. Lack is not part of the redemptive package.
