Today I will continue to highlight our identity in Christ and place in your hands the revelation for victorious living so that you can begin to reign above the limitations that life places on those outside Christ.
You are God’s Ambassador – An ambassador is a senior diplomat that represents his country in another country. The person carries the majesty of his nation and has full backing and protection of his country because he/she is on a mission for his country. In the same light, we are ambassadors for Christ. We have the whole of heaven’s resources behind us and anyone that touches us touch the whole of God’s kingdom.
You are a reconciler – one of the duties of an ambassador is to create and mend relations between his country and other countries. Those of us in Christ have now been given the assignment to facilitate the reconciliation process by announcing to the world that God is not mad at them, their sins have been forgiven and they can now become God’s children and enjoy divine inheritance in Christ.
You are the righteousness of God –There are two types of righteousness highlighted in the bible. There is a righteousness based on individual performance and works and there is a gift of righteous based on what Christ has performed. As a result of Jesus’ coming, through His death and resurrection we received the gift of righteousness. In Christ Jesus we became the righteousness of God through faith in the finished work of Christ and not by our personal merit but on the merit of Christ.
You are more than a conqueror – A conqueror is an overcomer. Someone who has defeated or taken a place by force. A more-than-a-conqueror is a person that the conqueror chose to give the place over which he has gained victory. In our case, Jesus conquered sin, death, hell, the grave and the devil and then He gave us the victory. As a result we became more-than-conquerors because we never fought, He did all the fighting, we never won by ourselves, He won the fight but He was so good He gave us all the credit.
You are the salt and light of the world – Friends, in Christ we are the light of the world. Without us the whole world will remain in darkness under the full oppression of the devil. We are relevant and needed in this world so don’t let anyone put you down as a nobody. The salt adds taste and preserves from decay. So also in Christ we have the power and the ability to preserve life. That is why we are called soul winners.
