3)A CLUTTERED SOUL
Mark 4: 18-19 – “Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful”.
People in the category of a cluttered soul are often so busy doing God’s work, yet their depth in God does not increase.
There are so many things cluttering their souls, that they cannot even observe the basic things of life anymore.
The danger of having a cluttered soul is, you deprive yourself of enjoying the fullness that God has purposed for you.
Furthermore, because your soul is cluttered, you cannot bless the people you have been assigned to be a blessing to.
A cluttered soul can be going through the motions, yet nothing will change.
4) A TRANSFORMATIONAL SOUL.
Mark 4:20 – ” And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
A transformational soul is that one consistently going through transformation.
A person with a transformational soul is aware. He is aware of its soul state, its need, its context, what he needs to put in, and he is applying it.
2nd Corinthians 3:18 – “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”.
As you are beholding God’s glory, you are changed from one glory to another.
That’s a transforming soul.
There are crucial questions you need to ask yourself.
- How is my soul today?
- What am I doing with my soul?
The transformation of your soul is not the work of God, nor of your pastor or anyone else. It is a personal endeavour, and yours to do, so that nobody can thwart your destiny.
You must invest in your soul.
Many invest in their spiritual lives, fasting and praying, but their soul is not in a good place.
Re examine your soul.
Friends, for you to regulate your soul, you need to have compassion and empathy.
Compassion helps you know the depth of your soul.
Compassion is different from sympathy. With sympathy, you feel people’s pains, and you express it. However, with compassion, you are compelled to do something about their situation, ensuring you don’t leave them the way you met them.
Compassion provokes compassion.
When you plant the seed of compassion, it comes back to you.
Compassion is not just about who is giving it, but also who gets it.
Finally, ensure you daily cleanse your soul with the word of God and his promises
Speak life into your soul always.
You are blessed.
Remember, you are not a biological accident, but a creature of destiny.
