Supernatural Intervention and Favour of God

1 Kings 4:2-7 – 2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? 3 And she said, Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a 4 few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, 5 and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to 6 her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the 7 oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

There is a need to have something in your hands. The widow had something though little. We need to have something the Lord is able to multiply. She had a jar of oil that was supernaturally multiplied. She had to give up to get up.

In Matthew 14, Jesus and his disciples were in the wilderness with a multitude of people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. Please realize that they could have decided to go into debt to borrow but rather relied on the supernatural provision of God. The question is what or who do look up to when in need? Do you look within or without? In the wedding in Cana in John 2, the wine ran out and they could have decided to go into debt but rather looked within and trusted the Lord and the water turned to wine. You can rely on the power of God within you to bring about your supernatural provision.

You might be asking if it is possible to live a debt free life, the answer is YES! The bible says you would lend to many nations but will have no need to borrow. This is quite amazing because we borrow because we don’t have enough but God says you won’t need to borrow and be in debt because you have all you need. In Deuteronomy 28 the bible says you are blessed in all areas. It is time to live the life God has planned for you.
