THINGS CENTRED THANKSGIVING VS GOD CENTRED THANKSGIVING
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You cannot afford to be a fair weathered Christian. By this I mean, you cannot allow your life to be centred on things. Our life should not consist of things we have or don’t have but of whom we have in the person of Jesus Christ. Paul in above scripture made a choice to centre and anchor his life on His love for God. This makes him undefeatable. Nothing can defeat a man whose life is not centred on things. And nothing can escape a man whose life is centred on God because God is the supreme creator and in him all things exist. The bible encourages us to keep our focus on the things that that are not seen because the things that are seen are made from the things that are not seen. The invisible God is superior to the visible world. The invisible God created the visible world. Whatever is in the natural is subject to change. But God is not subject to change. He is the unchanging changer. So be God centred and things will centre around you. When you focus on God, blessings come to you and overtake you.
