Genesis 2:7 – “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”.
3rd John: 2 – “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.
The soul has three compartments, which are; your mind, your will, and your emotion.
Your emotion is defined as a strong feeling, appetite or desire.
When your emotion does not prosper, it affects your entire being.
- How is your soul?
- How are you emotionally?
- How is your spouse emotionally?
- How are your children emotionally?
Friends, praying in tongues, fasting, studying the word are all good spiritual exercises, but you need to be emotionally sound.
There are some pertinent questions you need to ask yourself.
- What am I feeding myself with?
- What is my confession over my life?
- How am I within me?
- Is my mind at peace?
- Is my relationship with God on point?
When you are not emotionally sound, it affects your mind.
You use your will to make decisions and judgement, but your mind is your emotional capacity.
One might ask, how do I become emotionally sound?
You do so by applying what is called “Emotional Regulators”.
Emotional regulators include;
-Words of affirmation
-Praise and worship
-Replaying past victory.
These emotional regulators will help you put your emotions in check and ensure emotional stability.
It is time for you to be emotionally sound.
Start replaying past victories, appreciate what God has done for you, who He has made you, and who you are in Christ.
Incessantly sing praise and victorious songs to God. Songs that remind you of His goodness and love.
Sing love sings to your spouse.
Engage in the fun things you both enjoy, swimming, dancing etc.
All these will lift you up, strengthen you and help your emotions.
Friends, total prosperity for the total man is God’s desire for you.
Not just financial prosperity or prosperity of your body, but prosperity of your soul, in particular, your emotions.
Be blessed in Jesus Name.
Remember, you are not a biological accident, but a creature of destiny.
