1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil

Ephesians 2:14-18 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in  himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby, 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Praise the Lord! It’s a new season. We must bring ourselves again to reconsider and reflect on the reason the Lord Jesus graced the planet earth at the time when He did.

There is a lot the bible shows us from the historical account of the fall of man from the original plan of God through the deception of Satan in the Garden of Eden. The fall launched mankind into relegation from the quality of life God had purposed for us. Man became subject to degradation and was thrown into enslavement through the eating of the forbidden fruit. Man lost his dominion and authority over God’s creation. As a result, humanity and all of creation fell to and became subjected to the forlorn corner of Satan’s tyranny.

The disobedience of man brought a wall of separation between man and God and denied man direct access to the Father of all creation. Man was starved of divine presence and consequently lost his divine nature and took on a base nature. Hence man had to face the consequence of a life of alienation from God and the curse took its toll on all of creation.

However, God didn’t leave man without help, He instantly hinted in Genesis 3:15 how He was going to turn the situation around through the seed of the woman. We understand from scripture that this seed is Christ. When Christ came his mission was simple, to demolish that wall of separation between man and God. By coming to die on the cross, Jesus paid the price for sin and the consequences of it, the foremost of which is separation and alienation from the life of God.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and restore our divine nature, our divine access and an inheritance in the Kingdom of the Father.  Today believers all around the world and everyone who will accept the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary can proudly open their mouth and say Abba Father!

When we understand that the snare is broken and we have escaped then we will walk in the full assurance of faith that we have overcome through him that loved us.

Praise the Lord!
