King of kings and Lord of Lords – Part 2
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Remember Jesus was to rule the world, but his own style of leadership was to make leaders out of his followers and he delegated and gave them power and authority to rule in his place. He is the Leader of leaders, and the King of kings. By this, his dominion is everlasting and there is no end to his kingdom. He reigns and rule everywhere indirectly through his kings who he has appointed to rule in every sphere of life. If you remember when man was first created in Genesis 1:26, He was created for Dominion.’ Let them have dominion’ A king has a domain where he exercise his authority called his kingdom. We lost this Dominion in Adam but got it back through Jesus Christ. As many that will believe in this Jesus as the King of Kings, to them he gives power to become sons of God, meaning he empowers them and enthrones them as kings to reign and perpetuate his kingdom.
As believers, we have been enthroned as kings to reign in this earth, God has placed us in various strategic positions in our places of work, in politics, in government, in ministries, in Education, in business and every where we may find ourselves. We have a mandate from the king of kings to establish his kingdom in such places and enforce His ideals and values, replenish the place with like minded people, make new disciples and subdue every other opposing kingdom. If you are a believer and you are not reigning and in charge of your domain, then somebody is in charge. By default the devil is in charge of this world based on the fact that Adam relinquished his authority to the devil but we have this back in Jesus but if you as a believer don’t stand and take authority, the devil will usurp your authority and remain in charge as there cannot be a vacuum in leadership.
Friend, this is a wake-up call, while celebrating we must know that the time has come for us more than ever before to take charge and begin to enforce our dominion, it’s time to put the devil where he belongs and ensure that the Kingdom of Jesus is established in our domain and to discharge this effectively we must trust and follow his leadership and allow him to lead us and guide us into our place of enlargement. As we approach 2015, it’s important that we make a decision to submit and follow this great shepherd, as a people and as a nation our hope is not in any man but in the supremacy and authentic leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Happy New year in advance.
