All through the Scriptures, the Messiah was prophesied and manifested. It is often said that the New Testament is the manifestation of the things concealed in the old; this is called shadow. The old is a shadow of things to come. For you to see a shadow, it means the real is around the corner. With light comes revelation.

The old is the new concealed while the new is the old revealed. In this season of good tidings of great joy, let’s consider some truth about who Jesus really is.’’JESUS IS NOT A MYTH

Isaiah 9:6 6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Many will be comfortable believing that Jesus is just an idea, a myth or perhaps a tale. They will only get bothered when the truth is pointed out of His true Pre-existence and existence on earth. One thing is certain, Jesus is real! With the idea that Jesus is just a myth, then it means there was no birth, death or resurrection at all. Then it means there will be no Christianity because our belief is all about Jesus. The Scriptures do not imply myths and legends, they are actual events written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:22), lived among His brethren, died and was raised on the third day.

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, 14 Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that Thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or One of the prophets. He saith unto 16 them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the 17 Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Many religions around the world do not dispute the existence of Jesus but would rather say He was a good man or great prophet. Jesus is, however, much more than that. He is the prophesized Messiah. The question Jesus asked His disciples about who they said that He was is valid as He wanted to refute any form of argument as to who He is. Peter spoke by revelation that He is the Christ (the anointed One and His Anointing). We need to understand that it takes revelation to discern who Christ is. The reason many get confused is because they try to answer spiritual questions with mental reasoning and this doesn’t work. The five senses try to reason with human ability and this cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit. The divinity of Christ can only be by divine revelation. Jesus Christ is truly man and truly God.

JESUS IS THE RISEN KING WHO IS COMING AGAIN John 14:3 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Jesus made it explicit that He was coming again to take us to where He is. This Scripture shows us that there is a place aside from where we are currently. He will come again and He won’t go back alone when He comes back. Paul said that if it is only in this life we have hope, then we will be miserable. Praise God, we have hope that Jesus was born, died, raised and He’s coming again!

  • Can any man do the things He has done no matter how good?

Personal Declaration:

Jesus, I give You your place in my life and in my world. Manifest the fullness of your grace in me, Lord.
