Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

Who is a Christian? – Part 3

1 John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you   is greater than he who is in the world.

A Christian has conquered the devil through Christ. 1John 5:4 – For whatever is   born of God overcomes the world. You are not going to overcome, you are   already an overcomer but you have to take a stand against the opposition and   never give in to pressure. Be bold; be strong because the greater One in you has   put you over the enemy and his tricks. Jesus said He has given us the power to   tread on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing   shall by any means hurt us. Luke 10:18-19.

Jesus has won the victory for you but it is your responsibility to enforce it. You   have been empowered for victorious life. You are not meant to live life by chance   but by design. You are meant to live life from the place of victory, from the   mountain top and not from the valley. You are not a victim trying to be a victor,   you are a victor. The devil is trying to make you doubt your status and make you a   victim. You are not going to conquer the devil; you have already conquered the   devil and his systems. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all   principalities and power. You are superior to the devil. So rise up and take charge.

Romans 8:1 – 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who   do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.   2 Corinthians 5:21 – For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might   become the righteousness of God in Him.

Through the fall of Adam, the whole of human race became sinners and   unrighteous. As a result, unrighteousness became the nature of all of the seeds   of Adam. That is why you don’t need to teach a child how to lie and be selfish. It   is all part of the characteristics of the fallen nature of mankind. It is not the   committing of sin that makes the human race sinners; it is the nature of sin in   mankind that leads to committing sin. So you are not a sinner because you sin,   you sin because you are a sinner.

With that in man, Jesus came and took up both our sin and its nature and became   you and I in order to pay for our sins and change our nature. He did not just die   for our sins, He also became us. After He paid for our sins He then took our   nature and gave us His nature. So, this new nature is called righteousness. This is   the very nature of God. It generates the virtues and characteristics of God. So, a   Christian is a person that has become or has been made the righteousness of   God in nature and status.

So, you have a righteous status and righteous nature right now. To activate this,   you have to believe it, take it and begin to declare that you are the righteousness   of God in Christ. Unfortunately, ignorant Christians still declare themselves as   sinners and condemn themselves. Consequently, this results in oppression and   domination by the devil. Your words rule you, so watch your words.   When you believe and confess the plan of God in His Word for your life, you   release the force from within you to work in your life.   Righteousness in the Old Testament was meant to be earned by works but no   one could. In the New Testament, Jesus did all of it for us and gave righteousness   to us as a gift to enjoy. So, enjoy the gift of righteousness and do away with every   sense of guilt and condemnation. Jesus has made you as righteous as Himself!
