SUPERNATURAL PEACE IS…
A FRUIT OF THE REGENERATED SPIRIT
Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The Hebrew word for peace is ‘shalom’ means to be complete, perfect and full. When we give our lives to Christ, our human spirit becomes regenerated through the life of Christ and produces the fruit of peace. Our minds have to however conform to this change from a place of lack of peace to the place of permanent peace (In Christ). We need to realise that this Peace is of God our right in Christ; we do not need to do any other thing because the blood of Jesus has justified and qualified us to experience Divine Peace.
CONQUERORS FOR US
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It is pertinent for us to understand that the peace promised by Jesus is His own peace; this means there is the Peace of Christ and the Peace of this world. When situations threaten to pull us down, we must find solace and comfort in the Word of God that we cannot be subdued by the trouble in this world because we are indeed more than conquerors through Christ. We should however realise that even though we live amidst trials, Jesus who is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) is alive and resident in us. This peace within wades and fights off every fiery darts and attack of every evil.
OUR GUARANTEE FOR A FUTURE AND HOPE
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (NKJV)
God has assured us that His thoughts towards us are of peace, the bible says we also have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16). This means our constant thought should be of peace. This means we ought not to entertain fear because the peace we have guarantees our hope and future. The bible declares in Proverbs 23:7b ‘for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he’. When we constantly meditate on the peace we have in Christ we are at peace.
PEACE FOR US AND OUR HOUSEHOLD
Isaiah 54:13 – ‘And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children’
It is obvious that when we and the ones God has given us decide to be taught of God, meditate and live His Word, the peace that surpasses all human understanding will be ours. We must decide to develop ourselves in the Word, be responsive in the house of God by doing His word. When you work the word, the word will definitely work for us.
Exodus 14:14 – the LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
When we have a revelation of God’s peace, then we will enjoy divine peace. A lot of people lose their peace because of momentary loses or failures; this peace was given to us by God; hence we shouldn’t allow the pressures of life take it away. We must therefore hold on to the Peace that comes from the Word of God because He is our Peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us ( Ephesians 2:14).
The supernatural life is yours, enjoy divine peace.
