Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

Understanding the Love God has for You

Understanding the Love God has for You

1 John 3:1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God”

1 John 4:19We love him, because he first loved us.“

I have been walking with God for over twenty years now and I have met lots of people that love God like I do. They are willing to do anything to fulfill his will. Whenever I meet such people my heart leaps for joy because of the kindred spirit and the sense of belonging to the same family of God that comes with it.

However, I have observed that a lot of these well meaning, firebrand and lovely Christians have very little revelation knowledge of the love God has for His children. They are always on the go to show how much they love the Lord but they feel unworthy and guilty to think of and accept the love of God, which belongs to them in Christ Jesus.

Please be aware that you cannot give true love if you don’t have it and you cannot have true love except if you receive it from God who Himself is love.

From the above Scriptures it is clear that God first loved us and His love for us started when we were His enemies, when we were sinners and doing things our way. So stop acting as if you invented love or as if you first loved God.

I am making this point to bring you to the place where you start to see God as He is. You need to understand how much He loves you and start to receive His love by faith even if you don’t feel loved right now. Then suddenly things will begin to break loose for you, your confidence in God’s love will energise your faith and make it more potent and productive.

Another thing I observed is that even after some people have been taught about God’s love for them they revert back to all the evil things they have done and disqualify themselves as undeserving of God’s love. Friend, as far as God’s love is concerned you are not supposed to deserve it to enjoy it. It’s unconditional; the only thing involved is your faith. God wants you to believe in His love, receive it and proclaim it as yours. The way you received your salvation, healing, etc. is the way you receive and enjoy God’s love.

The revelation of God’s love for you will boost your self esteem and confidence; it will enable you to see divine realities as possibilities in your life. Above all it makes your faith work because although faith comes by hearing the word, it only works by love. That is, the love of God you receive. While it is a great thing to have love for God the revelation of God’s love for you is greater.

Remember you cannot love anyone more than you love yourself so receive the revelation of the love God has for you and allow the whole of heaven to love you.
