Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

Understanding God’s Loyalty to You

Understanding God’s loyalty to you

2 Timothy 2:13If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself

Isaiah 49:15 – So the Lord answers, “Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you.

I have always wondered why God never gave up on mankind. I noted that after the fall of man in the garden of Eden, God still provided clothing and sustenance for man to sustain him on earth. After that, God made a way for man to return to the original life of blessing He planned for him through the sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus Christ. In the course of meditation on why God chose to be consistently loyal to man I received the answer in my spirit and I will share some of the reasons for God’s loyalty to man in the following paragraphs.

From the above scripture in Genesis you will see that God made man in His image and after His likeness. In other words, we are the reflection of God. Any time God sees you and me He sees Himself. Remember God is a Spirit so the image of God in you is not in your physical features but your spiritual features. The real you is a spirit living inside your physical body. For this reason, God is bound to be loyal to you and me because He cannot deny Himself. He is God and we are gods. (Psalm 82:6). God has you covered so you should reciprocate because if you are disloyal to God or what He stands for, you are being disloyal to yourself and a kingdom against itself cannot stand. That is why man cannot be against God and live in happiness. You are in the image of God; you are His reflection. To be disloyal to the kingdom of God is like the moon staying out of line with the sun. The moon does not have light of its own; it reflects the light from the sun. So if the moon is out of line with the sun, the moon would lose its light and that would lead to the failure of the moon. Therefore, embrace God’s way and position yourself correctly and you will enjoy God’s glory.

The second reason why God is continually loyal to man is because God is loyal by nature. Loyalty is in His DNA. He said in the book of Malachi 3:6 ‘For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob’. God cannot be disloyal because to be disloyal means He will cease from being God. Disloyalty is far beneath Him. To Know God is to know loyalty. All the promises of God in the scripture are insured by His loyalty and credibility. They cannot fail or change. God is totally and eternally loyal to mankind, that is why angels marvel on the kind of attention God gives to man. Friend, God does not leave or fail man, it is men that leave and fail God. Today, get the image of God as totally and eternally loyal to you and as a result develop a character of loyalty in your own life too. I see you deal loyally in all things in Jesus’ mighty name.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2
