The Power in the Name of Jesus!

The Power in the Name of Jesus!

Philippians 2: 9-11 – Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Names are given for the purpose of identification. Some people are born with a great name such as that of a King; some make their name great by achievement while others have a great name conferred upon them. In the case of Jesus Christ, He inherited a great name; His name is great also because of His achievements and He is great because a great name was conferred upon Him.

We have been given the authority to use this wonderful name and to get the same results that He did. The name of Jesus is given to every believer in order to remove all limitations from us and open us up to a world of total possibility. Every human being, without the help of Christ, is limited and is prone to failure but anyone who has and understands the power in the name of Jesus is above all odds and limitations.

Power is the rate and enablement by which work is carried out successfully. In the name of Jesus, there is excess power to do everything. In the name of Jesus, all things are possible. Note that I did not say ‘may’ or ‘can’; I’m saying all things are possible right now.

You may be wondering why the name carries so much power and potency. God ordained Jesus Christ to be the heir to all things. God has ordained that all things will exist by Jesus Christ and that without Him nothing will be. Friends, we have everything in Jesus Christ and we are all things that God has destined us to be in Jesus name.
