Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

The Definition of Grace

The Definition of Grace

Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 3:24 – being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

I welcome you into a new year. This is a year no one has ever gone through before. But God has a great plan and he has provided His grace for us to go through this year and succeed. I believe this year will be the best year of your life so far.

It is great to start with God because He gives you divine direction and strategy for winning. One of God’s ways of enabling us to succeed is through His grace. Grace, simply defined, means ‘unmerited favour’. The grace of God was shown to mankind by Jesus Christ through the forgiveness of our sins and the salvation of our souls. The definition of favour includes: to be provided with advantages, specially privileged, preferential treatment. This means this year you will be provided with advantages, you will be given preferential treatment and you will be specially privileged.

Looking at our past, none of us deserved salvation; we deserved judgement and condemnation but Jesus Christ came and took our punishment on the cross to redeem us from the consequence of our actions. He took our place of punishment and gave us His place of righteousness and blessing. The process of this divine substitution is grace.

He took our sickness upon Himself and gave us His health. He took our pain and gave us His pleasure. He took hell away from us and gave us heaven. He took our curse and gave us His blessings. He took our limited life and gave us eternal life. This is grace in action. Whenever you find that you are limited or you come to the end of your strength ask for the grace of God and strength and divine ability will be given to you. Happy New Year and enjoy the fullness of the grace of God.
