Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

The Anointing of the Holy Spirit – Part 1

The word anointing is called “mascach” in Hebrew, which means “to smear, or to rub in”.
In the old testament, anointing was done for several purposes.
The Hebrew culture requires you to anoint a person who visits your home.
There was also anointing for office. An example of that can be seen in “Leviticus 8:12”; where Aaron was anointed for priesthood.

However, in the new testament, there is the anointing of the Holy spirit.
Whilst it may not involve pouring oil on your head, the Holy spirit has been rubbed on you.

2 Corinthians 1:21 – “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us”.

In the scripture above, one can see the evidence of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, as Apostle Paul told the Corinthians that God anointed him, and them as well.
Brethren, you are anointed.

Every child of God is anointed to function in victory and the divine life.
As a child of God, you have an anointing.
“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth”. 1 John 2:20.

You might ask, Pastor, what is the purpose of the anointing?
Isaiah 10:27 (KJV) – β€œAnd it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

The anointing lifts burdens and destroys yokes.
A burden is an obligation that brings a person hardship.
It can also be described as “a load”, and what does a load do? It slows one down.
A yoke is anything that restricts a person. It can also be characterized as an “oppressive rule”.
The anointing removes every oppression, and every load.
Because God has anointed you, no burden or yoke should survive in your life.

You are not only anointed to be delivered, you are anointed to become a deliverer, but you cannot deliver until you are delivered.

Luke 4:18 – “The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”.

When the Word of God is growing mightily in you, it will eradicate all negativity.
Friends, the anointed one and His anointing is in you and on you.
You are anointed to rule and not to be ruled over.
This month, it is time for you to benefit from the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

I decree that every burden and every yoke that have been troubling you are destroyed now in Jesus Name.

Remember, you are not a biological accident, but a creature of destiny.
