Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

Thanksgiving; An act of faith

Thanksgiving; An act of faith

MAY 18

Colossians 2:7: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught abounding therein with thanksgiving

Colossians 4:2: Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving

During my primary school days, there is this popular song we used to sing during assembly …since I was born, am now getting old, I have never seen my Lord change… It suffice to say I still sing that song because I have never seen him change and don’t think He will.

God cannot start what He cannot finish. Hence, when He starts, He will finish. Therefore, I offer thanksgiving in advance. Permit me to say, thanksgiving, is like an advance payment for something. You will agree when an advance payment is made for something, someone who stands by His word, will not have any option than to execute that which has been agreed.

Thanksgiving is a display of our believe, faith, trust, hope and our understanding of the way the kingdom of God operates. Many a time, human being are overwhelmed by situation. They pray, offer supplication but, often time we miss out the most important aspect of demonstrating our faith, that our prayers and supplication has been answered by not giving thanks.

In Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Therefore, it’s high time Christians begin to demonstrate their faith through thanksgiving. Believing that thanksgiving stimulate God to action.

Give Thanks!
