Tapping into Grace – Part 1
2 Corinthians 8:9 – For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Enjoying the grace of God is not automatic; you need a combination of things to tap into it. They include,
Revelation Knowledge –
It is said that knowledge is power. This is partly true; it is knowledge rightly acted upon that is power. Revelation knowledge of the truth that you already have the grace of God in Christ Jesus puts you far above every human limitation. You need to know and believe the grace of God. You are not going to have the grace of Jesus Christ, you already have it. What you now need to do is believe it and holdfast to it. Revelation knowledge precedes experiential knowledge. As you believe what is revealed, then what you believe becomes a reality in your life.
Strong desire – Good or bad, our desires drive us. A strong desire to manifest the grace of God moves us into a new horizon. While the grace of God is already ours, we still need to desire it through prayer and passionate pursuit in our daily lives. For example, while I know that I have a car, I still need to drive the car to enjoy its benefits. In the same manner, you have to make the grace work for you by constant desire for it. Remember there is grace for every place so keep your desires for the manifestation of God’s grace red hot.
Covenant understanding – God made a covenant with us through Christ Jesus so that we may be confident that he would not fail us. God has committed Himself to us by an everlasting covenant. His covenant with us brought us up to His level and gave us the right to all that He has. Through our covenant we now own everything that God has. Our covenant with God is the bedrock of grace. We will continue this study tomorrow.
