Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

Rooted and Grounded in Love

Rooted and Grounded in Love

1 John 2:5 – , “Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected.”
1 John 4:20-21 – If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
There are two ways to perfect the love of God in your life—by keeping the Word of God, and by practicing love on others.
After we have known, believed and received God’s love for us. It is now our responsibility to love God in return. The way we show our love for God is by doing what pleases Him. If you truly love someone, you will do everything in your power to please them and make them happy. In addition, if someone loves you and had shown and proved their love to you, you will do all you can to reciprocate that love. So to become a love expert, you will have to show love God because He first loved you.
The next step is to love people unconditionally as God loves you unconditionally. I will advice you that this level of love is the highest form of love. At first, it would be challenging but the reward is immeasurable. When you love like God loves, you command divine result like God does. This is the highway to the divine and higher life.
Love takes practice and we can practice on each other. You won’t operate perfectly in love at the very beginning; but as you keep at it, you will get better and better. If you fail, just simply confess it as sin, receive your forgiveness, and go on. Keep loving. Keep overlooking the shortcomings of others and look for Jesus in them!
So start by loving God because it is easier to love someone that first showed you love and then begin to love your neighbour even if they have not yet loved you.
