Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

RE-IGNITE YOUR PRAYER PASSION

Ephesians 3:14 – 21For this reason I bow on my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ  Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

As the Lord continue to beckon us to establish ourselves in the secret place of prayer, we must not cease to prompt ourselves on the significance of shooting our requests into the spirit realm where all things both spiritual and physical are birthed. This call to prayer is clearly the pathway which the Lord has designed for His church to travel to bring them into their possession and wealthy place this season.

We will never see much change for the better in our lives in general until prayer occupies a higher place in our value and esteem. It is very sad to note that there is a church movement today which offers people Christianity without spirituality. This sadly accounts for the deplorably poor spiritual fibre that is gradually populating our houses of worship. Prayer is the barometer of our Christian existence. How else can we say that we have a healthy relationship with the God that we seldom talk to?

When prayer and intercession are not in sufficient proportion our, church life and spiritual lives will run foul, reeking with the stench of carnality and impalpable spiritual vibrancy. When our prayer meetings are dull, cold, lifeless, lacking in biblical focus and visionary purpose our soul-winning efforts and ministry will cease to be inviting, appealing and life changing.

We must never allow ourselves to steep away into a life of prayerlessness. When that happens, we make ourselves a mere piece of tissue in the body of Christ because the moves of the Spirit in the affairs of our lives are maneuvered by our prayers. When we talk about the move of God we are actually referring the effect of a prayer demand on God because God moves in response to the prayer of His people.

The advances of the kingdom of God in any society are an attestation to the prevailing prayers of the saints in that environment. Our lives will be unreflective of the will of the Father where it is not built on the foundation of praying. The same God is rich unto all that call upon His name ( but only when they call). Jesus specifically highlighted in the widely celebrated Lord’s prayer the place of praying for the coming of the kingdom and the establishment of the will of the Father on earth. So, we see that when we are not passionately disposed to praying we fail to facilitate the advancement of God’s kingdom in our world.

This type of thinking is not self serving unlike the kind that is now prevalent in several groups in our day where more attention is given to self-centered petitions. The victorious church is the one that imposes the kingdom of God on the kingdoms of this world through the machinery of prayer and intercession. At no time is the church in dare need of praying saints to prevail through prayer over their cities and nations for God. The move of God must be birthed in our closets. We must undo the works of wickedness by wielding the weapons of our warfare in the upper rooms of our prayer meetings.

We must participate in the prayer anointing that is now upon us by prophecy. God is looking for those who will stamp their foot and make a difference in the place of prayer. We must pray for our brethren, we must pray for our leaders, we must pray for our churches, we must pray for our government. It is the will of God for us at this material time.“Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor!” Job 16:21
