MONEY FACTS

MONEY FACTS

JUNE 27

Ecclesiastes 7:12 – For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, but the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

Ecclesiastes 10:17 – A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry; But money answers everything.

My intention is to use this material to help you with some facts about money:

  1. Money is hardly spiritual. The bible declares that God gives the power to get wealth (Deut 8:18). Prayer and fasting does not guarantee you access to wealth, otherwise all prayer warriors and intercessors would be rich! Money is gotten by application of principles.
  2. Obeying and observing the laws of money will work for anyone no matter their location. That is why there are rich people in every nation on earth.
  3. The primary use of money is not spending but multiplication. Spending is secondary. In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-end) the Lord gave the servants talents to be put into use and multiply. You are to multiply it over and over again because once spent it can never be multiplied.
  4. If the abundance/lack of money in your life controls your mood/attitude then it is likely money that controls you. You are made to control it, not the other way around.
  5. Money is a tool, just like your hammer, screwdriver or pliers. Don’t over glorify it or you will soon become its slave. Money makes a good servant, but a lousy master.
  6. You must account for your money. If you cannot manage €100 properly don’t deceive yourself into thinking you can manage €1000, 000, you will waste it. Start managing and investing what you have and it will grow as you keep multiplying it. Plan and make a budget for spending money.
  7. You desire wealth yet you don’t know anything about money. You can never control anything you don’t understand. How many books on money have you read this year?
  8. Money is a reward for solving problems. The richest people solve the most problems (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, etc.) The more problems you solve the richer you will become.
  9. Don’t rush to spend your money.  Before you buy anything ask yourself 3 questions:
    1. Do I really need this thing now?
    2. Can it wait till another time?
    3. Is this an asset or a liability?
  10. Start investing in assets (land, business opportunities, stocks, bonds), things that will bring more money for you. Desist from spending on liabilities (Expensive clothing, luxury cars, smart phones etc.) especially things you cannot afford. Assets produce, liabilities drain you.
  11. Even if the wealth of the world were divided equally among everyone, within a short time rich and poor people would emerge.
  12. By all means give to people, help them but do not lend! Leave the business of giving loans to the bank.
  13. Most importantly pay tithe and offering.

I see money begin to work for you as you take control of it.
