How to Triumph by the Word – Part 2
2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Profit through receiving correction – to correct means to set right, make straight, to make right, to rectify, to amend, to remove what is wrong. When we receive correction from the Word, we move from the wrong to the right. Our profiting will then appear to all around us. 2 Timothy 4:2 – Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.
Profit through instruction in righteousness – to instruct means to train, to direct, to model, to prepare, to give notice to, to advice. When we receive training, direction and preparation in our right standing with God in Christ, we find ourselves living in triumph and moving from one level of glory to another.
Friend, we need to engage with the Word for the Word to engage with us. I see you rise above the shadows as you submit yourself to the teaching, rebuke, correction and instruction in righteousness from scriptures.
