How to Receive and Release Divine Peace
Proverbs 4:23 – Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Beloved, the peace of God in Christ is free for all who will receive and appropriate it. Jesus is our peace and He has removed the barriers to our enjoying peace. However, it is important to know that God gave you peace so that you may enjoy life and have a good relationship with Him and your fellowman. There are three people that the Bible encourages us to live at peace with. In Romans 5:1, we are given the privilege to live at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. In Hebrews 12:14, we are commanded to live at peace with our fellowman. We are also encouraged to live at peace with our own self. Friends, the greatest battleground is not in the air, on land or on water. It is in the mind and if there is no peace within you, you cannot create peace around you.
We are to receive the peace of God through faith in His Word. Jesus said, “My peace I leave with you and my peace I give to you.” So what you do is receive it and make it your own. When the storm comes, you take from the peace within and use it to calm the storm that is on the outside. However, it is very important that you first keep and guard your inner peace because out of your inside comes the issues of life.
We release God’s peace by faith through prayer and the spoken Word. Mark 4:39 – “And He (Jesus) arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm”. Our Lord Jesus Christ released peace into the storm by speaking to it in faith. In Philippians 2, we are told that through the use of the name of Jesus we can subdue any situation. Therefore, release peace through the name of Jesus.
Another way to release peace in our day to day living is by cultivating the right approach and attitude towards people and life in general. The Bible says in Proverbs 15:1 – “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Be wise in the way you deal with people because God uses people to bring us favour and He uses people to open doors for us. It is not only your attitude to God that guarantees you favour, but also your attitude towards the people that God has surrounded you with. Therefore, be wise and be peaceable in your approach.
I see you live in peace with God and man and consequently enjoy divine prosperity in Jesus mighty name.
