Revealing Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing

How God Provides for His People

3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Genesis 1:26-28 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the b earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 2:15-17 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

God is our father and like every father He provides for his children. This month, we will be exploring ways through which God provides for and transfers wealth to his people. But first I want you to know that God wants you to prosper in every good thing. He wants you to prosper because of His love for you and for the sake of his kingdom.

The following are ways by which God provides for his people:

  • The work of our Hands
  • Witty invention and ideas
  • Gifts and talents
  • Favour
  • Prophetic blessings

The work of your hands

From the above scripture in Genesis we found that God created Adam and put him in the garden to dress it and keep it and then to eat from the garden that he dresses and keeps. The Hebrew word for keep is ‘shamar’ meaning to hedge about, guard, protect. This connotes that there is an intruder to keep out of your garden. (Note: God gave him work before a wife). So work is not a curse, it is toil that is a curse. Toiling is different from working. Toiling is labour with little or no profit or progress. Toiling is labour with pain. Toiling came with the fall of Adam. But work in the context of the above scripture is a pre-planned system of productively with profitable reward.

Genesis 2:1-3 the bible records that God worked so work is Godly and not to work is ungodly.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

So we are created to eat from the fruit of our God given work. The bible instructs that for a man to work and eat of the fruit thereof, it is the gift of God. So to work and get a profitable result is God’s plan and one of the paths to your provision. So God expects us to do physical work in one shape or form. Your work could be a home keeper, a plumber, doctor, pastor, teacher etc. wherever you find yourself and whatever your find to do, do it with all of your might as onto the Lord. If you despise and don’t like your current work, do your best at it so that promotion will come into another work. But if you put out poor performance in your work, you bring shame to your work and your testimony will be that of disrepute and this could stall your progress. Don’t cheat your boss or employer, work as onto the Lord. Pray for your place of work including your wicked boss and intolerant colleagues. This attitude will lead you to the next phase of divine provision. The secret of the wealth of Solomon was a heart that was set on the work at hand, so when God asked him what he wanted he asked for wisdom and understanding to do the work that he has assigned him to do. Have you ever asked for wisdom and understanding to do the work at hand. Stop praying that he will take every work away start calling the work a blessing and a stepping stone to promotion.

Witty invention and ideas

Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

The story of Jacob in Genesis 30:27-43 comes to mind. He worked for Laban his uncle and father in law for years and was not properly paid. So after a while he decided it was time to move on with his family and make a new start. Laban persuaded him to stay and told him to present his terms of payment. God gave Jacob an idea on livestock production that was unprecedented and this made him a wealthy man.

There is no shortage of ides with God as long as we work in integrity and onto the Lord. But if you try to cut corners you will cut yourself short. I read the story th of Clark Maxwell the greatest physicist of the 19 century and Michael Faraday the man who invented the fluorescent bulb. These two men have some things in common, they honoured God, worked hard, and had great invention and they credited their success to God.

One idea from God can change your life forever; the invention of Michael Faraday not only blessed him financially, it changed the world. I see you as a world changer. The bible says In Matthew 5, blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. God says in the bible he will teach the meek his ways. So what is meekness? The Greek word is ‘prautes’ it depicts the attitude or demeanour of a person who is forbearing, patient, and slow to respond in anger, one who remains in control of himself in the face of insults or injuries. Such person is Holy Spirit Controlled. In medical terms it denotes soothing medication to calm the angry mind. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength. It is said that necessity is the mother of invention; so if you are in a difficult or seemingly impossible place, get ready for invention and ideas from God that would bring you divine provision. So take out from time to time to meditate on God’s word and pray in the Holy Spirit and let the Holy Spirit give you the interpretation of your prayers and see ideas flow. Christianity transforms your mind and makes you a world transformer.

Genesis 24:63: He went out to the field one evening to meditate, and as he looked up,he saw camels approaching
